Focus on health and safety

PA Resources works actively on comprehensive initiatives in the areas of the working environment, health and safety. We are very proud that the Group has suffered no serious accidents or incidents at the production facilities that we operate in the past three years.

Activities implemented in 2009

  • Training in areas such as First Aid for all employees working offshore in Tunisia and for personnel in the UK
  • Safety inspections at offshore production facilities in Tunisia to check that safety equipment and routines comply with regulations
  • Annual health check for workers in Tunisia
  • Emergency response exercises in both Tunisia and the UK
  • Emergency response plans revised based on experience from exercises

 


However, it is important to be prepared in case an accident or incident should occur. The Group has emergency response plans for the operations that we run as operator in Tunisia, the UK, Denmark and Greenland. In other licences in which the Group is a partner, or where the operations have been outsourced to subcontractors, the operator or subcontractor is responsible for emergency response management. The various units of the Group cooperate in a synchronised way to deal with emergencies.
